Pre-Conference Session: Winery and Brewery Tour

We’re thrilled to offer an exciting pre-conference event for those arriving early to "The Magic of School Nutrition" Conference! Join us for a Wine & Brewery Tour on Thursday, November 7th, where you’ll have the chance to explore some of the Grand Traverse region’s finest vineyards and breweries.

Event Date: Thursday, November 7, 2024
Time: 1:00 PM – 5:15 PM
Cost: $90
Transportation: A shuttle will be provided, departing from the Grand Traverse Resort at 1:00pm.
**Please note that this event is purely recreational, so we encourage participants to use personal funds and take leave from work for this experience. It’s a perfect opportunity to relax, enjoy Michigan’s beautiful fall scenery, and connect with colleagues in a fun and informal setting before our conference kicks off.

Tentative Itinerary:

1pm – Depart Grand Traverse Resort & Spa

1:30 - 2:45pm: Chateau Chantal- 15000 Rue de Vin, Traverse City (Walking/tasting tour- Includes 3 tastings during the tour)

3pm - 4pm: Bonobo Winery- 12011 Center Rd., Traverse City (Includes a tasting of 3 wines)

4:15pm - 5pm: MiddleCoast Brewing Company- 329 E State St, Traverse City (Includes 2 drinks)

5:15pm - Return to Grand Traverse Resort & Spa
